Questions

The things everyone asks first.

Straight answers, no fine print games.

Before you hire an agency

What to ask any marketing agency before you sign.

Most bad agency experiences come from vague answers up front. These are the questions worth asking whether you hire Rockwave Media or someone else — contracts, ad account ownership, reporting and realistic timelines for paid advertising results.

Who owns the ad accounts and data?

If an agency runs your Google Ads or Meta campaigns inside their own account, your conversion history leaves when they do. Insist that campaigns are built in accounts you own, with admin access in your name.

How long until paid ads work?

Campaigns typically go live two to three weeks after kickoff. Early leads usually appear inside the first 30 days, with cost per lead sharpening through months two and three as the algorithms accumulate conversion data.

What is included versus billed separately?

Management fees and ad spend are different things. Ask what the fee covers, whether landing pages and creative are included, and who pays the platforms. Our breakdown is on the pricing page.

How is performance reported?

Impressions and clicks are not results. You should get leads, cost per lead, and — where the sales cycle allows — closed revenue tied back to the campaign that produced it.
